Estate & Inherited Jewelry Buyer — Serving Central Texas
Settling an estate or clearing out an inherited collection can feel overwhelming. Ranch Road Jewelry offers patient, honest evaluations for gold, jewelry, coins and bullion — no pressure, no obligation, and no need to know what you have before you visit.
What We Buy From Estates & Inherited Collections
Estate collections rarely come neatly labeled. Bring in everything as-is — mixed metals, unmarked pieces, old jewelry boxes, coin jars — and we'll sort through it with you.
Gold Jewelry
Rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, class rings, broken pieces and scrap gold.
Gold Bullion
Gold bars, rounds and other bullion products, evaluated at our Cedar Park showroom.
Gold Coins
American Eagles, Canadian Maple Leafs, Krugerrands and other qualifying gold coins.
Silver
Silver bars, rounds, coins, older silver coinage and qualifying silver jewelry.
Platinum
Platinum jewelry, platinum bullion and other qualifying precious-metal pieces.
Diamond & Estate Jewelry
Diamond and estate pieces evaluated as complete items, not just scrap metal.
Patient, respectful evaluations — not a rushed sale.
Settling an estate often means sorting through jewelry that's unfamiliar, untested or tangled together with costume pieces. We take the time to go through a full collection carefully, separate what has real value, and explain it in plain language — whether you're an executor, a family member, or handling this for someone else.
Handling an Estate Collection — How It Works
You don't need an inventory or appraisal ahead of time. Bring what you have and let us help you make sense of it.
Bring It In
Bring the full collection to our Cedar Park showroom — organized or not.
We Evaluate It
We examine the item, identify materials, assess purity and weight, and consider the piece itself.
We Explain the Offer
You receive an offer based on current market conditions and the specific item you brought in.
You Decide
An evaluation doesn't obligate you to sell. Take the information and decide what's right for you.
Bring it all in — we'll help you sort it out.
Mixed jewelry, tangled chains, old coins, unmarked gold — estate collections rarely come organized. We'll go through it with you, piece by piece.
Education before pressure.
The difference isn't just knowing the price of gold — it's knowing what's actually in front of you.
When you bring in something to be appraised, I'm not here to try to buy from you. I'm here to educate you about what you have and what it's worth. I'll explain what the markets are doing, and I'll even tell you if you can get more for it somewhere else.
Understand How Gold Value Is Calculated
Two numbers matter when evaluating ordinary scrap gold: the current spot price of pure gold and the amount of actual gold contained in your item.
Spot price is the market price of pure 24-karat gold. Most jewelry isn't pure 24-karat, so weight and purity are used to determine the melt value of the gold content.
Weight × purity × current gold price helps determine melt value. Design, brand, diamonds, rarity and collectability may add value beyond basic melt value.
The market price of pure 24-karat gold at the time of evaluation.
10K, 14K, 18K, 22K and other purities contain different percentages of pure gold.
The amount of precious metal in the item directly affects its melt value.
Diamonds, brand, craftsmanship and rarity may matter beyond the metal alone.
Families across Central Texas trust us with this process.
Executors, adult children and families settling an estate have trusted Ranch Road Jewelry to handle inherited collections with care, not just a quick cash offer.
A Trustworthy Buyer Should Explain the Number
Local jewelers and established coin shops are often easier for sellers to evaluate because they depend on long-term reputation, repeat customers and referrals. You should be able to understand how your gold was tested, weighed and priced.
Selling Isn't Always the Only Option
A sentimental piece, inherited diamond or older setting may be worth understanding before you sell it for metal value alone.
